Canandaigua Academy posted their closest victory since September 8th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Mendon Vikings. The Gray Wolves were shut out 1-0 the last time they took on the Vikings, so the Gray Wolves were just returning the favor.
Gianna Turner paced Canandaigua Academy's offense, picking up three kills. Turner got some help from Kadyn Chapman and her nine assists.
Canandaigua Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-2. As for Mendon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Canandaigua Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 1-0 defeat against Hilton on the 27th. As for Mendon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Sutherland on the 30th.
