Basketball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-58 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wellington Eagles. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Wellington, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-5 record.

Valley and Wellington will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Vikings see the court they'll take on Brush at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Wellington, their break will end when they face Greeley Central at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2026.
