Kit Carson had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt La Veta on Friday. The Wildcats blew past the Redhawks 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 two weeks ago.

Shay Rady paced Kit Carson's offense, picking up 15 kills. Rady got some help from Avery Johnson and her 12 assists. Rady was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Kit Carson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-12 record this season. As for La Veta, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kit Carson will welcome Cheyenne Wells at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for La Veta, they will host Custer County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
