After a string of four wins, Stuart's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack. The Broncos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolfpack apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18.

Elgin/Pope John's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brooke Kinney led the charge by getting 12 digs and two aces. Kinney is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Stuart's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Elgin/Pope John, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Stuart will head out to take on Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] on Tuesday. As for Elgin/Pope John, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Chambers/Wheeler Central on the 4th.
