Baseball Recap: Mesa Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Mesa's offense. They came up short against the Red Mountain Mountain Lions on Thursday, falling 10-0. The Jackrabbits just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Mesa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gerardo Sanchez, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Red Mountain, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mesa will venture away from home to face off against Dobson at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Red Mountain, they will head out to take on Kofa at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The last three games the Kings have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
