Baseball Recap: Rolling Meadows Takes a Loss

Rolling Meadows and Highland Park squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Rolling Meadows had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Giants by a score of 3-1.

Rolling Meadows got a good showing from Charlie Hoeper, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Hoeper gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in April.

On the hitting side, Rolling Meadows saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tino Savino, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Rolling Meadows' loss dropped their record down to 22-14. As for Highland Park, their victory bumped their record up to 24-10-1.

As of now, neither Rolling Meadows nor the Giants have any future games scheduled.
