Recap: West Laurens Raiders vs. Griffin Bears
The West Laurens Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-37 walloping at the hands of Griffin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Laurens has scored all season.
Dorian Watkins was West Laurens' leading scorer, having posted 11 points.
Juvon Hill held things down on the boards with six rebounds. He took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with four assists.
West Laurens bumped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Griffin, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Laurens will take on Dodge County at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Dodge County will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Griffin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Spalding at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Spalding knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Griffin likes a good challenge.
