Softball Recap: Calabasas Comes Up Short

Calabasas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 16-1 to the Newbury Park Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Coyotes of the 9-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Calabasas saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Milla Romano, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Calabasas' loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Newbury Park, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 10-6.

Coming up, Calabasas will host Poly at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Newbury Park, they will challenge Westlake at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
