 The Ridgway Demons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Saturday after their eighth straight  defeat. They took a  55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mancos. While losing is never fun, Ridgway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings  (they are ranked 300th, while Mancos is ranked 110th).
 Despite the  defeat, Ridgway saw an underclassman step up:  Jonathan Rytlewski  dropped  a double-double on 18 points and 13  rebounds. Rytlewski is on a roll when it comes to  rebounds, as he's  now  pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Henry Deppen, who  scored 11 points along with seven  rebounds.
 Mancos was led to victory by  Brian Veach and  Kaiden Wyatt.  Veach  scored 13 points, while  Wyatt  scored 13 points.  Kaleb Schmitt was another key contributor,  scoring nine points.
 Ridgway dropped their record down to 2-12 with that  defeat, which was their third straight  at home. As for Mancos, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight games,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record  this season.
 Ridgway will head out on the road to  take on  Dolores at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Ridgway is facing Dolores at the right time seeing as Dolores is stuck on a eight-game losing streak.
