Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Benson Tech's 16th in Last 18 Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Benson Tech had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They secured a 51-47 W over the Clackamas Cavaliers. The Astros have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cavaliers, too.

Benson Tech has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. The loss snapped Clackamas' winning streak at 26 games and leaves them with a 28-3 record.

Benson Tech has already played their next game, a 48-38 defeat against South Medford on the 9th. As for Clackamas, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-37 victory against Willamette on the 9th.
