Basketball Game Preview: Oak City Prep Bears vs. Trinity Christian Crusaders

The Oak City Prep Bears will head out to challenge the Trinity Christian Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak City Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Trinity Christian likes a good challenge.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 93-65, which was the final score in Oak City Prep's tilt against Lab University Christian Academy Regional on Thursday.

Oak City Prep might have lost, but man, Amazin Dixon was a machine: he shot 45% from the field en route to 30 points and seven boards. The game was Dixon's 23rd in a row with at least 15 points. Jordan Escoffery was another key player, going 5-for-8 to rack up 14 points.

Meanwhile, Trinity Christian had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 45-36 win over New Garden Friends on Saturday.

Oak City Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Trinity Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Oak City Prep suffered a grim 71-47 defeat to Trinity Christian when the teams last played back in January. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
