            Baseball Recap: Desert Scorpions vs. Lone Pine Golden Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Desert made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lone Pine, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Desert Scorpions were the clear victor by  a  17-6 margin over the Lone Pine Golden Eagles on Monday. The Scorpions not only won  on Monday, but they posted their biggest win  since April 19, 2024.

  Alex Mendoza and  Elijah Warfield did most of the damage at the plate:  Mendoza  scored four  runs and  stole  Five bases. while going 3-for-3, while  Warfield  scored two  runs and  stole  Six bases. while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most  stolen bases  Mendoza has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Jeremiah Warfield, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
Desert now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lone Pine, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 0-2.
 Looking ahead, Desert is taking a road trip to  challenge Mojave  at 3:15  p.m.  on Thursday. Mojave has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.25  runs per game on average), something Desert will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lone Pine, they will be playing at home against Bishop Union  at 3:15  p.m.  on Tuesday.
