Soccer Game Preview: Canterbury vs. Babcock

The Canterbury Cougars will take on the Babcock Trailblazers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Two weeks ago, everything went Canterbury's way against Ida Baker as Canterbury made off with a 5-1 victory. Considering the Cougars have won 11 contests by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Ida Baker with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mia Accola (2), Mackenzie Molina, Briannah Calello, and Kali Young.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Babcock had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against Southwest Florida Christian by a score of 4-2 on Monday. Considering the Trailblazers' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Babcock's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Canterbury, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4-2.
