Baseball Recap: Caliche Buffaloes vs. Holyoke Dragons

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Yuma, Caliche was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Holyoke Dragons 20-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Buffaloes considering their one-run performance the game before.

Mason Hernandez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Hernandez was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Zander Yost was a standout: he scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Caleb Kloberdanz also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Caliche always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
