Football Game Preview: Randall Raiders vs. Austin Panthers

The Randall Raiders will host the Austin Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Randall's defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so Austin's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Randall beat Canyon 14-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Among those leading the charge was Kaison Benton, who rushed for 89 yards on only 11 carries, and also threw for 34 yards and one touchdown. Those 89 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Austin blew past San Elizario, posting a 48-7 victory. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Randall better keep an eye on Joel Castaneda. He was instrumental in Austin's win, rushing for 102 yards and one score. Castaneda really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run.

Austin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 587 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 178 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Randall's record now sits at 8-2. As for Austin, their record is now 7-3.
