Softball Recap: California City Has No Trouble Against Immanuel Christian

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but California City had no problem doing just that on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Immanuel Christian Crusaders. The result was nothing new for the Ravens, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Natasha Aguirre was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Haggins, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

The victory made it two in a row for California City and bumps their season record up to 15-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Immanuel Christian, they moved to 21-6 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, California City will venture away from home to square off against Orcutt Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Immanuel Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
