Softball Recap: Princeton Panthers vs. Plano East Panthers
Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against Plano East, falling 25-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Plano East this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-1 back in February.
Princeton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jadyn Walton, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. Maddie Anguiano was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Princeton's record now sits at 4-14-1. As for Plano East, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Princeton is set to face off against their familiar foe Rock Hill at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Plano East will challenge rival Plano West at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
