Volleyball Recap: Buckingham Charter Knights vs. Sutter Huskies

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Buckingham Charter can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sutter Huskies on Tuesday. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in September of 2017.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-18, 25-6.

Yulisa Curiel and Jessica Taylor certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Curiel had 26 digs and three aces, while Taylor had 17 digs, five kills, three aces, and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Justice Wright, who had 12 digs, five kills, and two aces.

Eden Bryan was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 13 digs and two assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six matches.

Buckingham Charter's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9. As for Sutter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season.
