Basketball Game Preview: Riverside Panthers vs. Adamsville Cardinals

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Riverside Panthers challenge the Adamsville Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday... Riverside is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58 points per game this season.

If Adamsville heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Riverside took over last week. Riverside secured a 62-56 W over Hughes on Tuesday.

Riverside's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jack Cupples, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds, and Austin Shelton, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Shelton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Lunsford, who posted six points.

Meanwhile, Adamsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. 2025 welcomed they with a 51-31 loss courtesy of Hughes.

Riverside is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Adamsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Everything went Riverside's way against Adamsville when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as Riverside made off with a 74-51 victory. In that game, Riverside amassed a halftime lead of 43-19, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
