Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Gryphons vs. St. John's S Saints

The Trinity Christian Gryphons just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the St. John's S Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Trinity Christian is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Trinity Christian came up short against Fredericksburg Christian and fell 66-54. While losing is never fun, the Gryphons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Eagles are ranked 122nd).

Meanwhile, St. John's S was not able to break out of their rough patch on January 11th as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lynchburg HomeSchool.

Trinity Christian now has a losing record at 6-7. As for St. John's S, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Trinity Christian beat St. John's S 61-48 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trinity Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
