Baseball Game Preview: Byron Bears vs. St. Peter Saints

The Byron Bears will venture away from home to challenge the St. Peter Saints at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Thursday, Byron didn't have quite enough to beat Kasson-Mantorville and fell 4-3. The loss put an end to the Bears' undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, St. Peter was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell just short of New Ulm by a score of 4-2.

Having lost for the first time this season, Byron fell to 2-1. As for St. Peter, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-2.

Byron couldn't quite get it done against St. Peter in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
