Sullivan waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Redskins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Sullivan won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16.

Sullivan's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Cerro Gordo/Bement, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Looking ahead, Sullivan will square off against Shelbyville at 8:30 a.m. on the 11th. As for Cerro Gordo/Bement, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
