Soccer Recap: Wilkes Central Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hickory, Wilkes Central was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Reagan Raiders with a sharp 6-1 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Eagles' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Riley Huffman and Caeleigh Ridgell scored all six of Wilkes Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Wilkes Central's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Reagan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3-1.

Coming up, Wilkes Central will head out to face off against North Surry at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Reagan, they will welcome Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The match will give Reagan their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
