Last Friday, Rocky Mountain Prep SMART was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-50 to DSST: College View. Rocky Mountain Prep SMART has not had much luck with DSST: College View recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kiran Rogerio, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Xavier Galvan, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Bruce Randolph's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight defeat. They fell 58-45 to Englewood.
Rocky Mountain Prep SMART has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Bruce Randolph, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
Rocky Mountain Prep SMART didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Bruce Randolph when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 46-41 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rocky Mountain Prep SMART since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
