Football Recap: Parkland Trojans vs. Emmaus Hornets

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Parkland had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past the Emmaus Hornets with points to spare, taking the game 17-3. The victory was nothing new for the Trojans as they're now sitting on three straight.

Parkland found their leader in sophomore Tj Lawrence, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Parkland's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Marcel Burden with two.

Parkland's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Emmaus, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 10-3 record.

Parkland is on the road again on Friday to play St. Joseph's Prep at 7:00 p.m. Parkland's defense has only allowed 11.6 points per game this season, so St. Joseph's Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them. Emmaus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
