Bunker Hill has gone 8-2 against East Burke recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bunker Hill Bears will be playing at home against the East Burke Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m.
Bunker Hill is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering West Lincoln just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels.

Michael Camby put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.
Camby wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Skyler Marlowe, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Corey Canipe also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, while East Burke put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Newton-Conover. East Burke skirted past Newton-Conover 2-0. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
The team relied heavily on Gabe Wittenberg, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. Jonas Weidner was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-4.
East Burke's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Bunker Hill, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bunker Hill has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like East Burke struggles in that department as they've been averaging 13.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Bunker Hill skirted past East Burke 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will Bunker Hill repeat their success, or does East Burke have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
