Claxton pushed their score to one the last time they played Screven County, but on Friday they couldn't quite do it again. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Claxton who was credited with the victory. Claxton got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Screven County Gamecocks' two. This was a revenge game for Claxton: when they faced off against Screven County back in March, they had to take a 8-1 defeat.

Claxton's one-goal win came courtesy of Amy Allende, who's now up to five this season.

Claxton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Screven County's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-2.

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. As for Screven County, they will take on Portal at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Screven County will need to watch out since Portal has now posted at least four goals in their last four games.
