Softball Recap: Callaway Takes a Loss

Callaway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 9-4 to the Lanier Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-9 two weeks ago.

Callaway's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lanier, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Coming up, Callaway will head out to square off against Forest Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.78 runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lanier, they will challenge Jim Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
