On the hitting side, Addyson Leonard made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Floyd Central's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Corydon Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Floyd Central took their win against Corydon Central in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Floyd Central since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
