Volleyball Game Preview: Washington Hatchets vs. Boonville Pioneers

The Washington Hatchets will head out on the road to square off against the Boonville Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Washington has three straight wins, Boonville has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Wednesday, Washington was able to grind out a solid victory over Evansville Central, taking the game 3-1.

Washington was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 22-25, 25-13, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Boonville lost 3-0 to Evansville Christian on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-16.

Washington's win bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Boonville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Washington took their victory against Boonville when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hatchets since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
