Basketball Recap: Garfield-Palouse Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Garfield-Palouse can now relate to. They took a 58-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Neah Bay Red Devils on Wednesday. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Red Devils 15-10 in the first quarter.

It was another big night for Makyah Chambers, who shot 40% from the field to rack up 18 points and five steals for Neah Bay. Chambers has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyler Swan, who posted 12 points and six boards.

Garfield-Palouse's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Neah Bay, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Garfield-Palouse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Neah Bay has already played their next game (against Willapa Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
