Softball Recap: Alliance Comes Up Short

Alliance came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Marlington Dukes, falling 15-1. The loss continues a trend for the Aviators in their meetings with the Dukes: they've now lost eight in a row.

Alliance saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tashia Henderson, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Alliance's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Marlington, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alliance will welcome Howland at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Aviators are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Marlington, they will challenge Carrollton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
