Recap: California Trojans vs. Waynesburg Central Raiders
The California Trojans were the 77-67 winner over the Waynesburg Central Raiders when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. California was the victim of a tough 58-38 loss at the hands of Waynesburg Central on Saturday.
California's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Neil, who scored six points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Caden Monticelli, who scored four points along with ten rebounds.
California's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Waynesburg Central, their win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-9.
California will challenge Geibel Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Geibel Catholic is coming into the game with eight straight victories at home, meaning California will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Waynesburg Central will take on Mt. Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
