Basketball Game Preview: Norwood Mustangs vs. Dover-Sherborn Raiders

The Norwood Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Dover-Sherborn Raiders at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Norwood is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Medfield just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 78-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Dover-Sherborn hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Martha's Vineyard Regional by a score of 47-39 on Sunday. The 47-point effort marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Norwood's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for Dover-Sherborn, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Norwood took their win against Dover-Sherborn when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 69-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Norwood since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
