Softball Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for Badin

Badin lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Carlisle, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Rams' pitchers stepped up to hand the Indians a 14-0 shutout on Monday. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by ten runs or more this season.

Kendall P. made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. P. was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other pitching news, Phebe Kiefer looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Emily O'Brien and Kira Rohan did most of the damage at the plate: O'Brien went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Rohan scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Rohan has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Judy Harris, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Badin pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Carlisle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Badin will be playing in front of their home fans against Middletown at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carlisle, they are taking a road trip to square off against Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
