Volleyball Game Preview: Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs vs. Greenwood Woodmen

The Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs will challenge the Greenwood Woodmen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Franklin Community is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Indiana's top teams: Southport, who was ranked 25th at the time (Franklin Community was ranked 12th). The Grizzly Cubs had just enough and edged out the Cardinals 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Grizzly Cubs in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Greenwood was able to grind out a solid victory over Bloomington South on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

Greenwood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season. As for Franklin Community, their win bumped their record up to 18-11.

Franklin Community beat Greenwood 3-1 in their previous matchup back in April. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Woodmen's Josh Thanga, who had 24 digs and one assist.
