Football Game Preview: Agawam Brownies vs. Westfield Bombers

The Agawam Brownies are taking a road trip to square off against the Westfield Bombers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Agawam's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.

Things were looking good for Agawam after they put the first points on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a hard 48-34 fall against Longmeadow. The Brownies haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westfield). They blew past Easthampton/Hampshire 56-36 on Friday.

Westfield's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Agawam, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Agawam was taken down by Westfield 41-6 in their previous meeting back in September of 2023. Can the Brownies avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
