Preview: Poetry Community Christian Pioneer vs. Yavneh Academy Bulldogs
The Poetry Community Christian Pioneer are on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Yavneh Academy Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on December 5th. Poetry Community Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1256th, while Yavneh Academy is ranked 422nd).
Back in November, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Poetry Community Christian beat Waxahachie Prep 39-35.
Poetry Community Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daniel McClure, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrei Gorbenko, who scored 9 points.
Meanwhile, Yavneh Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 53-38 bruising from Beth Tfiloh.
Sam Rael put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Darren Sacher, who scored 9 points.
Poetry Community Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Yavneh Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
