Basketball Recap: Lake Weir Comes Up Short

Lake Weir and North Marion squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Lake Weir had to settle for second. They came up short against the North Marion Colts, falling 48-22. The loss leaves the Hurricanes without a win on the season.

North Marion's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JAMEYA BROWN, who went 9 for 15 on her way to 20 points and five assists. That's the most assists BROWN has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was JERMEA JACKSON, who posted seven points and 11 rebounds.

Lake Weir's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for North Marion, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-13.

Lake Weir does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Marion, they will challenge Eastside on Thursday.
