Soccer Recap: Orestimba Triumphs

Orestimba's game on Friday was all tied up 2-2 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sonora Wildcats, sneaking past 4-3.

Orestimba hit Sonora with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alfredo Figueroa (2), Omar Covarrubias, and Bryan Carmona.

Orestimba's victory bumped their record up to 4-6-2. As for Sonora, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orestimba will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ripon at 5:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Ripon's last five games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Sonora also won't see the pitch for a while: their next contest is against Hilmar at 5:45 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
