Recap: Brooks Eagles vs. Kennedy Crusaders
The Brooks Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 44-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kennedy.
Despite the loss, Brooks saw an underclassman step up: Antwonette Golatte scored 18 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Golatte grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyy Harris, who scored six points.
Brooks' defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Kennedy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brooks' road trip will continue as they head out to face South Shore International at 5:00 p.m. on February 2nd. As for Kennedy, they will challenge Christ the King at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
