Recap: Tupelo vs. Horn Lake
Tupelo lost to Horn Lake when the two teams last met in October of last year, but they didn't allow Horn Lake the same satisfaction this time around. The Golden wave were able to grind out a solid win over Horn Lake on Friday, winning 28-20. The team ran away with 21 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those in the second to pick up the victory.
The victory was the fourth in a row for the Golden wave and raised their record to 7-3. Horn Lake's defeat pushes them down to 4-6.
Tupelo will take on Oxford at 7 p.m. ET next week. Tupelo isn't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the squad has another upset up their sleeve. As for Horn Lake, they will go up against Southaven at 7 p.m. ET. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.
