Baseball Game Preview: Orange Panthers vs. Eastern Alamance Eagles

For the second straight game, Orange will face off against Eastern Alamance. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Orange is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 12-9 victory over Eastern Alamance on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won nine in a row.

Dominic O'Keefe and Kayden Bradsher did most of the damage at the plate: O'Keefe went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Bradsher got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Bradsher has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mason Bullard, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Orange kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Eastern Alamance is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-10. As for Orange, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Orange has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Eastern Alamance struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 strikeouts.
