Soccer Game Preview: Forney vs. Rowlett

The Forney Jackrabbits will head out to challenge the Rowlett Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Forney is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 18 games.

If Forney beats Rowlett with nine goals on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Forney blew past North Forney 9-1 on Monday. Considering the Jackrabbits have won 13 games by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting North Forney from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Addison E. Smith led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Rowlett fell victim to Sachse and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 5-0 to the Mustangs. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Forney's win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-1. As for Rowlett, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Everything went Forney's way against Rowlett in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Forney made off with a 5-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forney since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
