Basketball Recap: Providence Classical Christian Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Covington Academy came into Monday's contest looking for another win against Providence Classical Christian, but Fabian Priestley wouldn't allow it. The Providence Classical Christian Warriors walked away with a 57-50 victory over the Covington Academy Bulldogs on Monday thanks in part to Priestley, who posted 23 points. The matchup was his seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Colton Price, who earned 16 points. Another player making a difference was Brenton Smith, who had 12 points.

The win made it two in a row for Providence Classical Christian and bumps their season record up to 7-8. As for Covington Academy, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Providence Classical Christian has already played their next contest, a 70-45 victory against Peachtree Academy on the 14th. As for Covington Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 45-39 win against Hearts Academy on the 14th.
