Baseball Recap: Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Wins Going Away Against Upsala/Swanville

Long Prairie-Grey Eagle won the last time they faced Upsala/Swanville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Thunder blew past the Patriots 7-1. Fans of the Thunder have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Ephraim Swartzentruber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 13 Ks.

On the hitting side, Hagen Brunkhorst and Gavin Johnson did most of the damage at the plate: Brunkhorst got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Johnson went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Brunkhorst is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Long Prairie-Grey Eagle's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Upsala/Swanville, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
