Softball Recap: Chiloquin Comes Up Short

Chiloquin extended their losing streak to 11 on Wednesday, dropping them down to 1-15. They lost 16-0 to the Riddle Irish. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Irish this season, with their most recent loss being a 25-3 defeat back in April.

As for Riddle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by 14 runs or more this season.

For Riddle's part, J. Estrada and A. Hildebrand made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Estrada tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Hildebrand tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Estrada went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Hildebrand got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Hildebrand has been hot, having posted two or more stolen bases the last six times she's played.

In other batting news, Riddle got a massive performance out of C. Warner, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of M. Davison, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Coming up, Chiloquin will challenge Lowell at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riddle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
