Volleyball Recap: Martin Luther Takes a Loss

Martin Luther was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pewaukee Pirates.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-11, 23-25, 25-20.

Leading Pewaukee to victory were Grant Conrad and Ethan Dalangin. Conrad had nine digs and five assists, while Dalangin hit 75% for six kills and seven digs and five aces. Those six kills gave Dalangin a new career-high.

Martin Luther's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Pewaukee, they pushed their record up to 12-19 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Martin Luther will square off against West Allis Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pewaukee, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Brookfield Central at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th.
