McCutcheon had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Greenfield-Central on Saturday. The Mavericks never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The Mavericks not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 26th (when they won 12-1).

McCutcheon got a big performance out of Sam Swank, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Jake Winger was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

McCutcheon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

McCutcheon's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Greenfield-Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Looking ahead, McCutcheon will head out to face off against Avon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mavericks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Orioles have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Greenfield-Central, they will welcome Mt. Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
