It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lone Oak ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They beat the Commerce Tigers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-7 last Tuesday.

Lone Oak has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. Commerce is on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.

Lone Oak will have a chance to go back-to-back against Commerce: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
